Delete your Collio account

You can delete your Collio account at any time. Deleting is permanent — there is no recovery window and no undo.

Delete it yourself (fastest)

1. Sign in at collio.chat.
2. Open your profile menu in the bottom-left of the sidebar and choose Settings.
3. Go to the Account tab.
4. Under Delete account, type DELETE to confirm and press the button.

Your account is removed immediately and you are signed out. The same steps work in the Collio mobile app.

Request deletion instead

If you can no longer sign in — you lost access to the email address, or the account was created with a Google account you no longer have — email [email protected] from any address you can reach, with the email address of the Collio account you want deleted.

We verify that the request comes from the account holder before deleting anything, so we may ask you for something only the account holder would know. We answer within 30 days, and usually within a few working days.

What gets deleted

• Your user record: name, email address, profile picture, language and appearance preferences, and your custom agent instructions.
• Your chat threads and messages.
• The teams you own, and everything inside them: departments, agents, brand kit, and the documents uploaded to them together with the text indexed from those documents for retrieval.
• Your credit balance and your credit transaction history.
• Your referral and affiliate records, and your onboarding answers.

Documents you uploaded to a team someone else owns stay with that team — they belong to the team, not to you — but they are no longer linked to your account.

What we keep, and why

• A record that the address was deleted. We store your email address, the free credits that address had already used, and whether it had used the free trial — and nothing else about you. Without it, deleting an account and signing up again with the same address would hand out a fresh free allowance every time. This row is what makes the free tier possible; it carries no chat content, no name and no profile data.
• Billing records. If you ever paid for Collio, invoices and payment records are kept for as long as Romanian and EU tax law requires (currently 10 years). These are held by us and by Stripe as our payment processor, and are exempt from erasure under GDPR Art. 17(3)(b).
• Backups. Deletion is applied to the live database immediately. Encrypted backups roll off on their own schedule (30 days), and deleted data is not restored from them.

If you signed in with Apple, deleting your account also revokes Collio's Sign in with Apple token, so Collio disappears from Settings → Apple Account → Sign in with Apple on your devices without you having to remove it yourself.

Deleting the app is not deleting your account

Uninstalling the Collio app removes it from your phone and nothing else. Use one of the two routes above to delete the account itself.
